With the ability to provide ventilation without having to slide the entire door, our timber tilt and sliding door designs offer outstanding functionality and flexibility. This makes them the perfect solution for Juliet balconies, where ventilation and uninterrupted views are the main priorities.
Similar to the sliding door design, the timber tilt and sliding door incorporates innovative features to allow it to be operated with ease, including a specialist handle and low resistance rollers. Rotating the specialist handle anti-clockwise by 90 degrees allows the top of the door panel to tilt inwards, providing an opening for ventilation. For security, the handle can be locked in this position.
Multi-point locking and advanced cylinder locks provide overall excellent security. To meet project requirements our timber tilt and sliding doors are available in a number of stain and paint colours, with the option of integral blinds

Tilt and slide patio doors are a versatile door system designed for modern living spaces. They combine the functionality of a traditional sliding door with the added benefit of a tilt function. This allows the door to tilt inward at the top, providing secure ventilation without fully opening the door.
Our doors provide excellent security with multi-point locking and advanced cylinder locks. We test all our doors to PAS-24 and Secured by Design.
Our Tilt and slide patio doors from George Barnsdale are designed with security in mind, offering advanced features to keep your home safe. These doors are crafted using premium timber and are fitted with multipoint locking systems to prevent forced entry.
We provide an extensive range of stain and paint colours for any taste or style. We also provide bespoke colour-matching services to ensure that we can replicate your favourite paint shades from leading manufacturers. Whether you need a classic finish or a bold statement, we will bring precision into your vision.
Yes, we make our doors available in single, double or triple glazing plus you can have optional integral blinds. The latest building regulations require the highest levels of thermal performance and often triple glazing is the only way to achieve this unless you opt for vacuum glass.
It’s important to keep on top of maintenance with our products. Start by cleaning the timber frame regularly with a soft cloth and mild soapy water to remove dirt and prevent grime build-up. Avoid using harsh chemicals that can damage the finish of the timber. Give special attention to the sliding tracks, as debris can cause interference in the smooth operation of the doors. Use a vacuum or a soft brush to clear the tracks, and apply a silicone-based lubricant periodically to keep the sliding mechanism running easily.
Consider applying varnish coats or repainting the surface if needed. Weather seals and gaskets should be in good condition to enable energy efficiency and protect against draughts. Finally, check the hardware parts for hinges, locks, and handles to make sure that they are in a good position, free from air leaks, and still functioning well.
