Proclad Premium Grade Colours - uPVC Internal Wall Cladding

Proclad Premium Grade Colours are a solid colour uPVC and are ideal for tougher hygienic applications. It may be finished with colour matched trims or alternatively colour matched welded joints and thermoformed corners.

It is Class 1 Fire Rated when fixed onto a non-combustible substrate.

Application

uPVC material is highly chemical resistant, can be easily cut to size, and may be heat formed (thermoformed) into and around corners. Where thermoforming is not suitable then trims are available for internal and externals corners. Its semi-rigid properties allow Proclad to be installed over almost all substrates. All joint, corner, and edge trims are uPVC extrusions. Proclad panels can be fixed to most clean and dry internal surfaces. However, they should not be installed near hot areas or where excess heat or exposed flame could damage or distort the panels. Stainless Steel should be used where temps exceed 60° C.

Proclad recommend polyurethane as the default adhesive: It is atmospheric moisture curing, cures in approx 45 minutes (temperature dependent) so allowing for adjustment of panels in contact with adhesive, and remains flexible when set so allowing for expansions and contraction.

Proclad PU adhesive is available in several formats:
• One part polyurethane 310ml tube – typically 2 tubes per 1.22x2.44m panels and 3 tubes for 1.22x3.05m panels. Applied in diagonal bands over the entire sheet.
• One part 600ml flexible pack– typically 1 per 1.22x2.44m panel. Applied in diagonal bands over the entire sheet.
• 2 part 6.5kg pack for 100% coverage – typically 1 pack per panel – use a notched trowel to apply over the entire area of the panel.

PU is suitable for:
Brickwork – in good condition and even joints
Block work – in good condition and even joints
Plaster – well bonded, Smooth and flush
Plaster board – sealed with PVA primer
Concrete – good condition, smooth and flush
Plywood
Ceramic tiles (not loose and cleaned with de-greaser)
Painted – test adhesion on small area before using

In situations where an alternative is required Proclad recommend MS (modified silicon) adhesive. This product offers a superior bond, works better in moist conditions, and is quick grabbing. In all situations where there is any doubt over fixing then a small area must be tested before proceeding with installation.
