HRC4042 Oshima is a solid Amber Pine board installed in a one strip pattern. The solid construction is the most traditional form of floor that will last for generations.
The surface is characterised by a traditional Japanese method of charring the timber surface to increase stability dating back centuries which is both distinctive and beautiful. Then HRC4042 is prefinished with MISSING.
Oshima is designated as rustic grade, all the natural features of a tree will be present with all shapes and sizes of knots. Distinctive sapwood and heartwood add further layers of beauty and you should expect checks and possibly some end shake.
With no visible bevel, the edges will sit flush against each other creating a visually flat finished surface. The boards are plained all round and can be either fully bonded to the subfloor using as suitable adhesive or nailed down.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Havwoods Ltd is consulted before specifying.
