FireMaster Plus2

Available in widths up to 30 meters with a drop of 6 meters, the FireMaster Plus is supplied with the Coopers Total Gravity Fail Safe system (TGFS), insulation zone, variable speeds, side channels, smoke leakage, emergency egress and controlled descent.

With fixing options to suit all types of ceiling configurations, the FireMaster Plus fire curtain can be integrated with both solid and suspended ceilings and will remain hidden within the ceiling until deployed.

The FireMaster Plus fire curtain barrier is a vertical fire curtain barrier that is compliant to BS EN*, AS*, Independently Third Party Accredited and approved in accordance with PAS 121* to resist fire for 180 minutes whilst providing an insulating zone.

FireMaster Plus2 is a more advanced fire curtain due to the intumescent fire fabric used. The fabric used with the FireMaster Plus2, when exposed to temperatures above 160 C, forms a rapid expanding carbonaceous char of organic matter and consequently provides a thermal insulating barrier. The thermal insulating barrier creates a tenable zone allowing occupants of a building to safely pass the curtain to safety with a fire burning the other side of the fire curtain.

FireMaster Plus2 is an Active Fire Curtain Barrier Assembly comprising of technologically advanced fire-resistant fabric barriers encased in a compact steel housing. Barriers remain invisibly retracted until activated by an alarm or detector
signal, at which time they descend safely to their fire operational position.

To be compliant, Fire Barriers must be protected from a short circuit and or total power failure, this is achieved with our patented Total Gravity Fail-Safe (TGFS) system.

Fire barriers will stop and control the spread of fire in a building. FireMaster Plus2 should be used if means of escape protection is required.

FireMaster Plus2 reduces radiant heat to under 10 kW/m2 for over 60 minutes. FireMaster Plus2 is designed to prevent the spread of fire in accordance with BS 8524-1:2013.
