FireMaster Concertina

The FireMaster Concertina closed system is bespoke to each project and is available in closed shapes, such as squares and faceted circles, in any width with a maximum drop of 8 meters (5 meter drop if 240 minute integrity is required).

Supplied with the Coopers Total Gravity Fail Safe system (TGFS), variable speeds, controlled descent, all required by fire regulations. Developed by Coopers to protect all building types, the FireMaster Concertina can be applied to atria, escalators, and stairs and will remain hidden within the ceiling until deployed.

The FireMaster Concertina fire curtain is a unique folded vertical fire curtain barrier system that is compliant to BS EN* and is certified to PAS 121* and AS* to protect from fire up to 240 minutes.

The revolutionary FireMaster Concertina provides the same protection as a steel fire shutter but at a fraction of the size and weight, with no need for columns or corner posts and intrusive ceiling interfaces. This innovative design gives architects, consultants, specifiers and owner/occupiers a whole new way to approach building design, maximising floor space and increasing rental income.

Active Fire Curtain Barrier Assemblies comprise technologically advanced fire-resistant fabric barriers encased in a compact steel housing. Barriers remain invisibly retracted until activated by an alarm or detector signal, at which time they descend safely to their operational position.

To be compliant, Fire Barriers must be protected from a short circuit and or total power failure, this is achieved with our patented Total Gravity Fail-Safe (TGFS) system.

Installing a large FireMaster Concertina to replace a non-loadbearing wall opens up exciting design possibilities for architects and construction engineers and they are designed to activate upon receipt of a signal from either a fire alarm system or locally positioned detector. FireMaster Concertina is designed to prevent the spread of fire in accordance with BS 8524-1:2013.
