The 4000 series button expansion modules have been designed to fit the 4000 series range of flush and surface backboxes. They are used to achieve the required amount of call buttons for audio and/or audio/video systems. For the VX2200 system there are two variations of button modules:
The first variation of button modules uses terminal connections that houses 2 terminals for each button where the buttons, depending on jumper settings, can have a common terminal or each button can have its own common. These button modules are used with the functional 4203 speaker module - 4842, 4843, 4844, 4845, 4842D, 4843D, 4844D and 4845D.
The second variation of button modules uses the built-in IDC button connector and flat cable harnesses (CFL17 and/or CFL45) to link between button modules to make up the desired number of buttons required and depending on the switch and jumper settings can have an isolated button for trade. These button modules are used with the functional 4284 combined speaker and camera module - 4042, 4043, 4044, 4045, 4042D, 4043D, 4044D and 4045D.
Both types of button modules have tactile micro-switch buttons and blue LED illuminated nameplate windows and in the case of the double button modules they share a common nameplate window. The button combinations are available from 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 buttons per module. The module finishes are available in a mirror finish stainless steel (standard), anodized aluminium (suffix /A) or matte stainless steel (suffix /M).
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Videx UK is consulted before specifying.
