For soil reinforcement, these Tensar Geogrids have been engineered for enduring, long-term loading demands and rely on robust tensile strength capable of withstanding such factors as tensile creep.
Specifically designed for reinforced soil walls and slopes, void spanning, basal embankment reinforcement, load transfer platforms and veneer stability, these Triax Geogrids mostly feature uniaxial strength, emphasising tensile strength in one primary direction.
Conversely, in soil stabilisation applications Tensar Geogrids necessitate transient loading, geogrid-soil interlock, soil confinement and lateral restraint. This confinement-based stabilisation finds application in subgrade stabilisation, pavement optimisation and soft soil capping where the emphasis lies on stability under changing loads and conditions.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that HERMEQ is consulted before specifying.
