HouseBreathe Premium

HouseBreathe Premium is a thermally-bonded film laminate composite made of polyolefins, manufactured by bonding a polypropylene breathable micro-porous film together with polypropylene non-woven membranes. Developed primarily for use in Timber frame wall construction, HouseBreathe Premium provides protection against wind-driven rain, snow and dust whilst still allowing the controlled release of vapour from within the timber frame. HouseBreathe Premium conforms to the requirements of class W1 material in accordance with BS EN 13859-2:2010 and, provided it is installed, used and maintainedin accordance with it s BBA certificate, meets NHBC requirements. Supplied in roll form, HouseBreathe Premium should be fixed to frames with Stainless Steel Nails or Staples at centres no more than 500mm. On areas where sheets are required to be lapped, the following dimensions must be adhered to: Vertical 150mm Horizontal 100mm. Upper layers should overlap lower layers to shed water away from the sheathing. Vertical laps should be staggered wherever possible. Positions of studs should be marked on the face of the breather membrane, by tape, to securing of wall tie fixings.
