The 2+1 window and door system offers acoustic reduction values of up to Rw49dB.
The system is available as an inward opening system in Timber/Aluminium composite with softwood internally and aluminium externally.
A further advantage to the 2+1 system is the option to include venetian blinds within the cavity between the external Single glazing and internal sealed double glazing. This construction offers a very cost effective solution to substantially reducing solar gain allowing the occupant to regulate the internal climate to a considerable degree. The blind is conveniently shielded from dust and damage due to its location in the cavity but can be easily accessed for cleaning and repairs as it is not trapped within a sealed unit.
