The Marshcourt dining table is the most versatile of tables. In its classic form it is made up of 2 semi-circular D-ends that push together to form a circular dining table. The table is extended by means of rectangular, freestanding table inserts that are slotted in between the D-ends. The rectangular inserts can be used as side tables when a smaller table is required or fitted together to form independent rectangular Dining Tables. As well as or instead of freestanding inserts, we can also supply leaves to extend the table.
The Tuscan column legs are a classic Lutyens motif and can be found elsewhere in his work, particularly in his designs for the Viceroy's residence in New Delhi. The stretchers form a perfect circle when the table is in the round. The rectangular inserts feature inverted semi-circular stretchers.
The table comes as a 4, 6 or 8-seater when closed.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Lutyens Furniture & Lighting is consulted before specifying.
