Limelite Renovating Plaster is a lightweight, breathable fibre reinforced renovating plaster that controls and manages moisture movement in traditional and damp buildings. Limelite Renovating Plaster works with the fabric of a building, letting Walls breathe whilst providing a quality, durable finish that protects and performs for years to come.
This breathability enables the substrate to dry naturally, meaning Limelite Renovating Plaster can provide a fast and effective solution in both domestic and commercial properties for flood damage remediation and heritage restoration.
Breathable
Conventional gypsum plaster is hygroscopic, meaning that moisture from the atmosphere or substrate is absorbed and retained. Limelite Renovating Plaster is breathable, allowing moisture to be released.
Reduces mould growth
Improved breathability and less retained moisture helps to avoid mould growth and efflorescence. Lime is naturally aseptic and inhibits the growth of bacteria and mould.
Versatile
Can be used on a wide range of traditional substrates such as solid brick and Stone walls, wooden lath. It can also be used on walls that have previously suffered from damp or flooding.
Quick-drying
A quick-drying renovating plaster, it dries quickly. Additional plaster coats or paint to be applied in just 24 hours. This allows faster completion and less disruption.
Reduced shrinkage
Incorporates polypropylene fibres to control shrinkage, avoid cracking and improve the flexural strength and impact resistance of the finish.
BBA Approved Plaster System
The Limelite Renovating Plaster system is BBA approved, ensuring the plaster meets the highest of quality standards.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Tarmac is consulted before specifying.
