Paint | RID

Paint | RID has been and still is, our best-selling cleaning product. While incredibly gentle, Paint | RID is extremely adept at removing paints from almost all masonry surfaces including; timber, hardboards, plaster, plasterboard and metals. An effective paint softener for most internal and external oil and water-based paints, varnishes, bitumastic and thermoplastics coatings.

Application: Protect adjacent surfaces particularly plastics e.g. PVC window/door frames. Apply a thick coat (2-3 mm) of Paint-Rid using a brush (can be spray applied). Protect from rain but allow the air to circulate and the product to breathe. Ensure that people or their clothing do not come into contact. Can soften and breakdown paints within hours, possibly leave overnight.

Check the sample in the morning if it has not penetrated all of the coats remove what can be removed and then re-apply. The ideal temperature is circa 15 degrees C but please note that Paint-Rid is slower to work when temperatures are low and becomes inactive if temperatures are below 5 degrees C. Will also dry out too quickly if exposed to sun or heat.

For best results to remove paint externally use hot water at medium to high pressure. To remove paint internally use a spatula/scraper then hot water and a scrubbing brush. Alternatively, use the Stonehealth DOFF System which is perfect for removing the residue and if internal the DRS (DOFF Recovery System) will remove both the waste and water without causing a problem.
