MPC064 comes in 2.4 metre lengths and is priced per metre. This is an Egg and Dart plaster coving which has a large central frieze with a beaded moulding above. The Egg and Dart motif can be traced back to stone carving on the temples of ancient Rome and Greece and has been commonly used in Europe since the Renaissance, when it was carved into both buildings and furniture. It s also sometimes known as 'Egg and Tongue' too. There is no exact form though it always consists of egg shaped mouldings separated by a device that looks like an arrow, anchor or dart. This cornice features a bold elongated Egg and Dart design that has a very definite Victorian feel about it, however as this design was so widely used over the last few hundred years it can be used anywhere.
If you measure your plaster coving needs and order an exact amount then one wall could end up being finished in small off-cuts. To avoid this we recommend you order 15% extra to ensure longer lengths are used wherever possible as this will create a better finish.
**Our coving is priced per metre, not per length includes VAT**
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Plaster Ceiling Roses is consulted before specifying.
