Slabfix - Mortars

Slabfix is a hand-applied specialist polyester resin-based mortar used for bedding and fixing paving where same day opening or exceptional bond strength is required. It is ideal paved areas subject to traffic and heavy lateral loading, Slabfix provides a durable and highly resistant method of permanently fixing paving slabs prior to pointing. Slabfix is suitable for use with a wide range of substrates and can be used to bed natural stone slabs directly on to precast concrete or asphalt, even when damp. The material is supplied as a two-part pack ready for on-site mixing and is fully compatible with all Parex jointing products. It can be applied at temperatures down to 0 C. It has excellent adhesion properties, is resistant to road salt and petrochemicals and is exceptionally strong, achieving a compressive strength of 80 N/mm2 under typical conditions after just one day. Applications include paved area, driveways, ramps, parking areas and walkways.
