SettPoint Rapid provides an ideal solution for the jointing of setts and wide gaps where closure time is limited.
Displaying the same characteristics as standard SettPoint, the rapid curing and hardening version incorporates special additives to provide an initial set in 30 minutes, dependent on ambient temperature.
It also displays rapid strength gain, achieving 12 N/mm in just one hour, rising to 40 N/mm at 24 hours. It is suitable for jointing gaps from 15-50 mm and will penetrate to a depth in excess of 150 mm.
SettPoint Rapid is ideal for traditional natural stone setts requiring an aesthetically pleasing wide joint. SettPoint provides a free-flowing solution, which can be poured into gaps to provide a high strength, durable finish.
The grout-based SettPoint formulation is BS7533-compliant, self-smoothing and contains a special expansion agent to compensate for shrinkage to ensure that finished joints will not shrink or crack.
It is applied quickly and simply by pouring from a watering can, helping to keep installation costs to a minimum. The fully-compacted high strength joint can be left smooth; alternatively it can be brushed or tooled to create a more rustic effect.
