Early 2008, Declan Breen won the National Open Competition to design a National piece of public art organised and co-ordinated though Mayo Co. Council.
It is estimated that road users will only get a glimpse for 4 seconds at motorway sculptures and thus The Jigsaw Puzzle is a memorable image for passers-by
where features such as safety and lighting are necessary to take into consideration. Both Jigsaw pieces are manufactured from Corten Steel weather
plate, one male and one female piece to create a 3D effect
