As an Architect working in a sustainable design studio, Graphenstone is my go-to paint when it comes to finishes specifications. The team are super helpful and hard workers, and the product has a great finish.

The place looks great, and our client is extremely happy to be using Graphenstone on this one which I’m sure will be an ongoing theme now... I hope this is the case because it’s a great product to work with from a decorating perspective and of course is so appealing to clients as such an environmentally friendly option whilst maintaining a quality finish. Graphenstone quickly rose to the surface of a range of manufacturers in specifying better materials and was a product that we wished to specify in many of our projects. Through its use of natural materials, it passed our strict chemicals of concern precautionary list in a market sector which has been difficult to find the right information to assess. We've recognized through our experience of numerous projects, the end of construction tests for indoor air quality being a risk item which is mitigated using this product. Through the help of Ben and Greg we have been able to identify the barriers, look at the actual cost uplift against the benefits and look more closely at our specification. Part of this process has been to educate the supply chain from main to sub-contractors who through the process have become advocates for mineral paint- we collectively have found benefits for all that are involved within the painting process. We now offer Graphenstone as our default specification.

So as part of the overall restoration works to The Oratory House, one of the main elements was the works to the Cardinals library roof and Lantern....Internally, much of the original lime plaster was cracked and damaged from the movement caused by the structural decay, so this had to be stripped back to sound plaster and replastered where necessary. Finally, the lime plaster and internal timber elements of the Lantern were decorated with Graphenstone paints, after a lot of help and guidance from Graphenstone regarding the coverage over the existing and modern lime plasters, providing an effective, breathable, and durable coating, perfect for this building.

’As an interior designer it is incredibly important to me that I incorporate as many ecologically sound choices into my designs as possible. I have found that using Graphenstone paints enables me to offer my clients an extremely environmentally friendly product that delivers both on cost and finish. There is a wide colour choice, and should I require a bespoke colour this is provided quickly and easily. The team are great to deal with, always friendly and efficient, my orders always arrive within 1 or 2 days. My latest project is a medical clinic, so it is important that the environment inside the building is one that promotes health and wellbeing. Graphenstone paints are an obvious choice both because I know the finish will look good and be hard wearing but it will also help to maintain excellent air quality and reduce CO2.
