Everest Timber Sash Windows use tradition and technology to maximise heat retention in your home. Careful crafting for a perfect fit and the naturalness of timber helps retain heat, while Low E Glass, draught-resistant seals and 14mm double glazing boost energy-efficiency further. The locks and modern seals all engage securely to create an airtight seal.
The poor fit of old-fashioned sash windows often allowed in noise (and sometimes led to loud cursing when trying to operate them too). With our timber sash windows you can select the traditional cords and weights mechanism or opt for the modern spiral balances hidden springs that ensure the window opens smoothly. This enables finger touch opening making them a joy to operate.
We cleverly hide all the new technology within the frames and all we leave on show is a range of traditional hardware. We offer a range of chrome or brass options such as traditionally-styled fitch locks, pull and lift handles and for authentic character you can add Georgian bars. Once installed you d be hard pressed to tell the difference.

Timber s beauty comes from the fact it is a natural material, and as a natural product some degree of movement in terms of expansion/contraction can be expected. However, with the engineered timber that Everest use, this movement is kept to a minimum.
The sliding sash makes them simple to maintain. We also have an option of a side hung bottom sash for easy cleaning on windows featuring the cords and weights system.
Most of the time replacing sash windows in a conservation area will not be a problem if they are similar to the previous ones. However, if you do require planning permission, we can assist you with the process.
