The vertical slider window combines traditional appearance with the performance of a modern uPVC system. Like all our other uPVC windows it is fully reinforced; this not only increases strength but also weather resistance and security features.
Vertical sliders are only available in one basic configuration comprising two opening sashes, one above the other. The top sash is stepped forward of the bottom sash and Slides past it. Each sash being operable independently.
The vertical slider window is fitted with spiral spring balances and traditional sash locks (key lockable) and sash lifts (finger rings).
One of the simplest windows to operate, you just open the sash locks and move the sashes up and down as required. The overall size of a vertical slider window may be up to 1500mm wide and 3000mm high, with a semi-perimeter of 4200mm. In addition to sliding vertically the sashes tilt inwards to facilitate cleaning the outside from inside. Suitably sized windows will provide a means of escape in the case of fire.
