At Emplas we know how important safety is in all our products, including our fire escape windows. We have been manufacturing windows since 1979, and we use the Profile 22 profile system, which maximises energy efficiency and complies with the latest building regulations. Our high-quality products and dedication to customer service and support has earned us our reputation as one of the UK’s leading window, door and conservatory suppliers.
Current Building Regulations state that in order to be classed as a fire escape window and comply with Document B (Fire Safety and Means of Escape), all windows must have an unobstructed opening area of at least 0.33m square. They must also have a minimum clear opening dimension of 450mm, either in height or width.
All Emplas windows are designed to comply with the latest Building Regulations. So whether you choose casement windows for your next job, whether in a home or a new build project or tilt and turn windows for a large commercial refurbishment, you can rest assured that our full range of windows are suitable for use as fire escape windows and meet the specifications laid down in Document B.
All our customers also benefit from a choice of furniture and hardware options. You’ll find that Emplas windows are less likely to fade or become dull due to pollutants, and offer exceptional value for money.
