Hot rolled asphalt SMA

The mix is made up of a high percentage of bitumen & filler combined with sand & coarse aggregate to produce a very water tight & durable surface coarse material. Precoated chips are then applied & rolled in on-site to give the finished material its excellent skid resistance properties. HRA is a surface course material but different types of HRA can be used as a binder layer for industrial or residential applications.
