The rapidly developing Timber engineering sector has resulted in many high-performance engineered timber products coming to market, with one of the most innovative being glued laminated timber, more commonly known as glulam.
Glulam is used for its versatility and strength, whilst its natural colouring gives a light and subtle aspect to our structures. Glulam consists of a number of layers of dimensional timber bonded together with durable, moisture-resistant structural Adhesives. These structural members are used as vertical columns or horizontal beams, as well as curved, arched shapes. Glulam is available in a range of species and appearance characteristics to meet varied end-use requirements.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that B & K Structures is consulted before specifying.
