Cross laminated Timber, also known as X-LAM, is a structural two-way spanning timber panel that can be used to form Walls, roof and floor panels as well as shear walls. It is produced in a similar way to glulam by stacking a number of layers of timber, known as lamellas, at 90 to the layer below and subsequently glued to create panels of up to 24m in length and 2,950mm in width, which can encompass between 3 and 7 layers.

CLT is generally manufactured from Spruce but can also be manufactured from Larch, White Fir, Douglas Fir and can be manufactured for exposed, internal areas or in non-visible quality and can be clad in any number of materials.
