PhonoDeck® Tri35s, also known as Tri-Deck, is a structural overlay board featuring a recycled polyester layer. It offers a 'Direct to Joist' acoustic floating floor solution, excelling in both impact and airborne noise reduction. The use of rubber crumb enhances its exceptional performance, setting PhonoDeck® Tri35 apart from other options. These boards serve as structural acoustic floor decking, perfect for refurbishment projects, and can be directly laid on joists, minimizing finished floor height.
Designed for refurbishments and conversions prioritizing privacy and comfort, PhonoDeck® Tri35s acoustic overlay floorboards provide a convenient way to reduce both airborne sound and impact noise transmission. They can overlay directly onto joists or existing sub-floors, ensuring optimal performance. Strong and rigid, these boards accommodate 400mm and 600mm joist centers, allowing ceramic tiles to be laid directly on top. Non-load-bearing partitions can also be built on this floor, adding versatility to its application.
Each PhonoDeck® Tri35s acoustic overlay floorboard consists of tongue & groove high-density timber pre-bonded to recycled polyester and finished with a low-resonance flexible recycled resilient rubber crumb underlayer. This superior acoustic layer ensures longevity, with a lifespan of over 25 years and 'bounce back' properties. In contrast, other options often use grade 1 non-cross-linked blue foam, offering only 2-5 years of service and compromising acoustic performance under continuous point loads.
Constructed from 22mm T&G4 Chipboard, 5mm recycled polyester, and 8mm resilient rubber crumb, PhonoDeck® Tri35s boards measure 35mm in total thickness, making them suitable for direct-to-joist flooring applications. Ideal for offices, hotels, building extensions, renovations, and loft conversions, PhonoDeck® Tri35 contributes to improving sound insulation within properties, helping them comply with building regulations and reducing unwanted noise effectively.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Acuphon is consulted before specifying.
