The William Garvey teak tiles, or panels are made in a special process which William Garvey have successfully researched and developed over many years. The teak veneer is carefully bonded onto a specialist core of Formalux PVC, a 100% waterproof substrate backing with an overall thickness of 9mm.
They are hardwearing and as easy to clean as ceramic tiles but easier to install. They do not require grout, and are designed to interlock with tongue and grooved edges. The tiles are both water and rot proof and are dimensionally inert. They can be cut to size using simple woodworking tools, or machine cut.
Ideally, the tiles are then applied to a flat even wall surface, such as Plaster board, render or WBP plywood, using a water proof adhesive such as silicon.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that William Garvey Bespoke Furniture Projects is consulted before specifying.
