Vermont Slate – Vermont Structural Unfading Green

Vermont Slate is a beautiful Pale Green slate. With Vermont Structural Unfading Green slate at the top of the range, highly regarded worldwide as one of the very best Green slates available. It has been used in the USA and the United Kingdom for centuries on many prestigious buildings. Details of projects in the UK date back to the 1890’s where the slate is still on the roof today doing what it was made to do – protect the building from the harsh elements. In more recent times it has also been approved on specific English Heritage projects, Crown Estates and also in several National Parks.

Vermont Structural Unfading Green is markedly different to other green slates from the North East of America in several important ways. It is all produced from block extracted from a Single family owned & run quarry, the raw block is then cut in the production sheds to ensure that the slates are made “on the grain”.
