The Profab 3000 series Loft Hatch is designed to provide access between 50mm wide timber truss/ joisted plaster/plasterboard ceilings, where access to the loft space is required.
COMPOSITION & MANUFACTURE
The metal frame holds a flush metal door through adjustable hinges to one side. The door is held closed with either concealed push catches (PC) or a security key lock (SL). The door opens down towards the user and is removable during installation or if damage occurs. Panels with simulated dry wall beaded frames (BF) are jointed/skim-plastered and then decorated on site to match the colour/texture of the adjacent finish.
Picture frame (PF) panels are finished semi-gloss white so require no finishing after installation.
A 2mm gap is maintained between the door and frame through the adjustable hinges.
FIRE PERFORMANCE
The Alta 3000 Series Loft Access Hatch panel is a non fire rated product and so no claims are made.
APPLICATIONS & USES
All Loft Hatch panels are for internal use and only in areas of normal humidity.
3000/BF is suitable for ceilings where the panel is being installed prior to any tape and jointing or skim-coat plastering.
3000/PF is suitable for ceilings where the panel is being installed after all finishing work has been completed. The panel is factory finished semi-gloss white so needs no further decoration.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Profab Access is consulted before specifying.
