Ravatherm XPS (extruded polystyrene) is the market leading extruded polystyrene insulation for below concrete flooring applications. Ravatherm XPS is extruded using recycled CO2 and has a number of key benefits including a closed cell structure to provide resistance to moisture, while also promising excellent long term thermal performance.
There are three grades of Ravatherm floor insulation available for different design loads:
Domestic Floors – Ravatherm XPS X 300 SB – compressive strength – 300 kN/m2.
Commercial Floors – 500 SB – compressive strength – 500 kN/m2.
Cold Stores/Heavy Duty – 700 SB – compressive strength – 700 kN/m2.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Panel Systems Ltd is consulted before specifying.

XPS (extruded polystyrene) is manufactured using carbon dioxide as a blowing agent and adding infra-red blocking particles to scatter and reflect heat radiation within the foam boards. XPS insulation boards offer low thermal conductivity, excellent moisture resistance, long-term durability and performance, easy and safe to handle, quick and simple to cut and shape, lightweight but with high compressive strength and excellent bonding and lamination properties.
