Matrix Height Adjustable Wash Basin

by Multicare Medical Ltd

The Matrix is an electrically height-adjustable wash basin designed to support accessible bathroom layouts in care, education, healthcare, and domestic environments. It provides 200 mm of smooth vertical adjustment, allowing the basin to be positioned at an appropriate height for both seated and standing users. Adjustment is activated via integrated front-edge controls, which are discreet, easy to operate, and suitable for users with limited dexterity.

The basin incorporates a concealed plumbing and electrical cover, creating a clean appearance and protecting services from impact or tampering. Thermostatically controlled taps reduce the risk of scalding, and an integrated safety stop prevents crushing hazards during height adjustment.

Available in multiple basin shapes and sizes, the Matrix offers flexibility for a range of room types, including hygiene rooms, Changing Places facilities, SEN settings, and accessible bathrooms. With a maximum user weight of 167 kg (150 kg SWL) and a durable aluminium and PMMA construction, the system is designed for long-term performance in high-use environments.

The Matrix is compliant with relevant medical and hygiene standards, including ISO 17966:2016, and is suitable for installation on any appropriately strengthened wall capable of supporting dynamic loading during use.
