The Newcare bed utilises a four bar linkage ‘scissor’ lifting system, which offers excellent stability, especially at the ends of the bed. Despite being great value for money, this mechanism provides a lower minimum mattress platform height of just 36cm (depending on which side rails and Castors are chosen).
There are two versions of the Newcare bed – the Newcare Basic and the Newcare Advance. The Basic design includes metal concertina siderails and a standard user hand control. The Newcare Advance incorporates the signature Interlude® siderails with the in-built user controls, a more advanced nurse control unit, central braking, integral length adjustment, and an X-Ray ready backrest. It also has clip-off mattress platform sections for ease of cleaning.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Innova is consulted before specifying.
