RD2SQ Overview
RD2SQ is a fabric shade with a frosted acrylic diffuser by Steve Jones from innermost. It is available as a shade only or also as a floor and table lamp. It provides a subtle change in shape - from a square at the base to a circle at the top - combine with an acrylic diffuser to complete a simple but distinctive design. Steve Jones work is often a case of changing or skewing a detail to make the familiar a little less so.
With this design he also wanted to provide details that elevated the humble shade, so diffusers were given form and fabrics selected to emphasise quality. A series of simple changes that resulted in a product markedly different from many in its class.
