Just as we require convenient access to buildings and rooms, we also need a reliable way of getting out fast in the event of an emergency. Gilgen SLX-SB automatic sliding doors can fulfil emergency-exit requirements in various ways. The optional Total Open System (TOS) enables the door leaves to be swung open manually in an emergency to guarantee easy escape. Emergency exit functionality can be set to operate permanently or in event of fire alarm / mains power failure, ideal for escape ways.
The functionality allows easy access for transport of bulky items through-out the year, making it ideal for summer events or for garages. Integrated closing mechanisms shut the door again after use to provide a reliable fire barrier. The system is independently tested to TUV Nord with user safety certified to EN16005 and DIN18650 standards.
