Horizont Aluminium Clad Windows

Working with a natural material such as wood means taking our environmental responsibilities very seriously.

We do this by conserving resources and selecting wood at the highest available quality. We then scan the wood to identify any imperfections by cutting out and finger jointing leaving you with a flawless finish.

The Timber corner joints are doubled tenoned; the integrated Aluminium frame is mechanically connected and corner joints are mitred and crimped.

Finish

After assembly, all our doors and window frames are then primed and sanded before they are finished with a flawless coating of paint.

Our doors and window systems are available in all standard RAL colours, as well as our standard colour range. Any internal and external colour combination is possible.

The external aluminium clading has a polyester powder coating (minimum 60 micron thickness) in standard RAL colours, excluding metallics. Standard Gloss in 30%, with optional 77% gloss available upon request.

Performance

Horizont windows have been tested independently and have reached and exceeded the requirements for:-

BS 6375-Pt 1:2009 Performance of windows and doors - weather tightness.
BS 6375-Pt 2:2009 Performance of windows and doors - operation and strength.
BS 7950:1997 Specification for enhanced security performance of windows for domestic applications.
PAS 24 - Door Single
Thermal: Whole window values of 1.4W/m2K to 0.98 are available.
Sound Reduction: Windows are available with sound reduction of typically 31 Rw dB to 38 Rw dB, others also available.
Security

The range of ironmongery you choose (handles, locks etc) will determine the level of security you require, which of course our team will work with you to specify correctly. When fitted with the requisite ironmongery, Horizont have been independently tested to BS 7950:1997 Specification for enhanced security performance. As you would expect, we also hold a Secured by Design license.
