Sportcel - Hinged Doors

The Sportcel rebound panel doorset has been developed to provide protection within sports centres, gymnasiums and schools where physical activities take place. The doorset provides protection when balls are used, where there is a need to protect people from protruding ironmongery and to stop doors opening unnecessarily.


The frame sits flush with the inside face of the Walls, and the rebound panels are fixed to the inside face of the doors to give a flush appearance with the walls on the inside face. The ironmongery is now essentially recessed within the door, presenting a much safer flat plane to the inside of the room.

Frames are standard Steel Doorsets. Maximum height of rebound panel is 2.0m from ground level. All doors are PPC coated as standard.


Design criteria

The rebound panels are designed to the Sport England guidelines, and are available in Single and double configurations.

Door thickness as standard are 44mm - either Honeycombe or Rockwool infill with 2no. 1.2mm thick Zintec coated steel sheets for the door faces. Rebound panels are constructed of 1.2mm Zintec coated steel and infilled with Rockwool.

Frames are standard steel doorsets. Maximum height of rebound panel is 2.0m from ground level. All doors are PPC coated as standard.
