Our entrance doors have a range of industry leading security features such as toughened safety Glass, security hinges, hook-bolts and a multi-point locking system to ensure enhanced security. In fact, our entrance doors have achieved Secured by design accreditation, an official police security initiative. We are also less tolerant on gaps than other suppliers, so we use a product specific trim around the edge of the door for a neater finish which also keeps the warm air in and cold air out. SmartLock from Yale is totally keyless and lets you open your front door through a variety of ways including on your mobile phone or through a key fob. You can even send keys remotely to allow access for a few hours, days or even weeks. SmartLock, combined with toughened safety glass and hook-bolts make an Everest SmartLock door one of the most secure on the market.
The Secured by Design approved letterbox fishing guard is a prevention method for the latest form of attach by modern burglars. Front doors with standard letterboxes are prone to the fishing method by the burglar simply using a hooked rod through the letterbox and grabbing whatever is in reach. The letterbox fishing guard utilises a flap on the interior side of the front door which stops in place a safe projection point when pushed, minimising the angle a rod/hook can manoeuvre around. The inner flap is still designed to allow access for letters to be posted through the letterbox.
