Everest orangeries are built on solid foundations and we offer market leading base specifications. Our standard 1000mm deep concrete foundations create a strong base but where necessary we will also use a piled foundation to suit ground conditions. We also use a unique reinforced wall frame design for unrivalled levels of security and supports and beams provide complete structural integrity so they won t sag, twist or distort. With an Everest orangery you can rest assured that it is built to last.
An Everest orangery can be customised to your specifications, whether you prefer a traditional orangery with a typical central glass roof, or a contemporary look, at Everest we have a wide range of options available to customise your orangery. Choose from Upvc, aluminium or timber and a wide range of colours, glass types, window styles and Door Handles to create your dream orangery. For a classic look we can also seamlessly hide outside gutters and inside wiring from view.
A multi-point locking system, key-locking handles, hook-bolts and window hinge-side security as standard give you ultimate peace of mind. The sealed unit also includes laminated glass for maximum strength and safety glass can be fitted to break into harmless fragments if smashed.
Historically, orangeries were installed by the wealthy in order to protect citrus trees from the cold. Conservatories later did the same for plants and shrubbery, but both evolved simply to add extended space to a home. The main difference now is that conservatories use minimal brickwork and are more about viewing the garden from within your home, whereas Orangeries have more brickwork and are generally larger and a touch more elegant considered by some as private spaces with an emphasis on luxury.
