Smart Electricity Meter – Domestic

The E470 is an industry leading, MID approved SMART electricity meter incorporating pre-payment functionality.

The E470 has a built in low power radio module for handling LAN communications between the optional SMART Gas Meter & In-Home Energy Monitor. An integral GSM modem is also fitted as standard to enable reliable 2-way WAN comms to our secure server as well as a 100 Amp contactor to enable remote connect/disconnect of supply.

Tariff types – capable of operating a wide range of tariff types. Future tariffs may be loaded to the meter for activation at a pre-defined time.

Installation – processes controlled by PIN entry to the meter. The installation process allows a previous meter’s balance to be transferred to the new meter and all details relayed automatically to the host PPMIP system.

Tamper alerts – automatically sends tamper alert messages on occurrence in the event of SIM tampering or reverse-running of the meter.

Remote meter reading – changes in tenancy or supplier can be actioned remotely by requesting the meter to send critical data back to the host system at a pre-defined time, and credit parameters can be reset ready for the next user.

Emergency credit/friendly non-disconnect – the customer can be allowed to gain a pre-defined amount of credit when their credit expires. A buzzer warns the user of low credit, and a non-disconnect feature prevents the user from self disconnecting at inconvenient times, such as weekends or nights.

Debt recovery – can be programmed remotely through the meter. Collection is made at a programmable rate and halts automatically when complete.
