Modern Kitchen

The kitchen in this recently completed project by Edmondson Interiors (The Surrey Home) is predominantly an oak kitchen.

Contemporary pieces of furniture dominate the design. The white Aga and the spaces between are important factors in allowing this lovely, light and strong oak furniture to hold center stage. Then the details catch your eye: the blues in the Glass and china items and the mosaic tiles and the window blind. The blue colander in the middle of the Stainless Steel is not an accident.

The Via Latte black Granite is something you should be able to dive into. The picture of the endgrain surface with the granite running under it shows what a great choice this granite is. The tactile quality is strong here as well. The different radius curves and the softened edges to both countertops are begging to be touched.

Now this picture is important. It tells you why there are the pinks in the blind over the window: they pick up on the pink larder cupboard which is an indulgent deep colour ('Rhubarb' by Paint Library). More curves in the end cupboards can be seen creating fabulous avenues to each side of the island.

Just look at the oak selection, subtle pale colours matched from the one tree, gentle grain patterns and the odd beautiful burr. This is where Edmondson Interiors show their pedigree and experience with crafting fine furniture for a specific purpose.
