Smoke and Heat Detectors

The smoke respectively heat detectors are the core of every hold-open system. As soon as one of these devices detects a fire, the power supply of the hold-open system is disconnected and the fire protection closure closes reliably before the fire can spread further.

For many years DICTATOR has been a specialist in producing fail-safe and long-lasting smoke and heat detectors that are used as tripping device in hold-open systems on fire protection closures, according to the directives of the DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik/German institute for construction technology, Berlin).

The DICTATOR detectors of the different series have been tested according to the EN 54 and are approved by the building authorities for their installation in hold-open systems.

For installations in hazardous areas DICTATOR provides ex-proof and also approved smoke detectors that use the photo-electric detection of scattered light method, same as the normal smoke detectors, and contain no radioactive substances.
