Our Llandraw stone roofing has been quarried from the foot of the Black Mountains and gives the timeless quality of a truly traditional stone. These hand crafted tiles have occasional tones of chocolate, plum and amber on a green background which illustrates its time-honoured, simplistic appearance.
Llandraw sandstone is an exceptional quality roofing material and is popular to work with. Geologically classified as an Old Devonian red sandstone, it is relatively thin and naturally flat-bedded, ideal for producing stone roofing tiles. Our Llandraw tiles give a true diminishing coursed natural stone roof with heights as required, random lengths and hand dressed edges to provide a truly traditional tile.
The number of tiles required to cover a specific roof area will depend on the amount of overlap required for each course and the number of courses of each tile size. We therefore supply and quote in square metres as on the ground . The ground area will be 2 3 times the area of the roof. (Measure your roof area and multiply by either 2 or 3!)
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that De Lank is consulted before specifying.
