With fixing options to suit all types of ceiling configurations, the SmokeStop D600A active smoke curtain can be integrated with both suspended and solid ceilings and will remain hidden until deployed.
The SmokeStop D600A active vertical smoke curtain system is compliant to EN and ISO and is BS EN 12101-1+A1, BS EN 13501-4, BS EN 1363-1, BS EN 1634-3, BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 14001 certified to control smoke for up to 150 minutes. Developed and manufactured by Coopers, the SmokeStop D600A is CE Marked and Third Party Certified. Providing compartmentation and channelling of smoke and protection of escalators and atria in any standard commercial building.
Smoke curtains are used to control and the spread of smoke in the event of a fire. Coopers offer two types of SmokeStop curtains; the D600A and DH60. The D600A is used where smoke control and fire resistance up to 600 C is required
whereas the DH60 is used where smoke control and 60mins fire resistance at temperatures greater than 600 C is required.
The SmokeStop D600A is an active smoke curtain barrier that prevents the spread of smoke for 150 minutes in the event of a fire and has been tested to a rating of D600A. This means the curtain was tested and remained intact for at least 60mins
at 600 C.
Active Smoke Barriers comprise technologically advanced fireresistant fabric barriers encased in a compact steel housing. Barriers remain invisibly retracted until activated by an alarm or detector signal, at which time they descend safely to their fire operational position.
To be compliant, Smoke Barriers must be protected from a short circuit and or total power failure, this is achieved with our patented Total Gravity Fail-Safe (TGFS) system.
Smoke Barriers will control the spread of smoke in a building and protect the means of escape and create tenable conditions.
SmokeStop Smoke Barriers are designed as barriers to prevent the spread of smoke in accordance with BS EN 12101-01:2005+A1:2006 and are classified as either DH60 or D600A. SmokeStop is legally CE Marked in accordance with the Construction Products Regulations.
