This style of traditional cladding has assumed growing popularity in the UK market recently and CGL offer shingle systems in a wide variety of metals and finishes.
This style of cladding is described as 'fully supported' as shingles are historically manufactured from thin gauge metals and therefore have virtually no inherent spanning capability. Regular fixing of the shingle edges by clips is therefore essential together with the overlap arrangement at shingle edges.
