Also known as face-applied or fully bedded glazing, Direct Glazing refers to the windows where the glass itself is directly bonded to the frame of the building onsite using a structural sealant, rather than being delivered in a frame, which is then attached to the building’s structure.
This technique is commonly used on timber-framed windows, where natural warping and movement of the timber over time requires a flexible bond and seal between glass and window frame.
