TEXTURE, TYPE & COLOUR
Handmade facing bricks for interior and exterior use in decorative or construction walls.
Merlot Handmade from the Caprice factory; This soft _x001E_ mud brick has a handmade & sanded texture. A modest brick that has more going on than just anthracite! A surprisingly velvet look, almost like dark chocolate in colour - soft & discreet with a classic textured appearance.
RAW MATERIAL & PRODUCTION
The primary raw material is river clay mined in the Rhine basin - this includes floodplains and river Mass clay in the baked colours - grey-red, bright red, natural bronze and yellow.
The clay is formed in a sanded mould and fired to at least 1150 °C. The facing brick is simulated handmade or stock with frog and has a homogeneous structure. It is free from lime and other inclusions and has at least one stretcher and one header which are free from cracks and other aspects which negatively affect the overall appearance of the brickwork.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The facing bricks are delivered with the following characteristics, in accordance with the CE and Benor marks:
NEN-EN 771-1, April 2013, and NEN-EN 771-1/A1, March 2005 Category I, HD clay bricks.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Camtech Building Products is consulted before specifying.
