Special Limited Edition Chair
In the late 1940's and the early 1950s Hans J. Wegner worked a lot with different ideas, themes and variations of folding Chairs.
The Deck Chair, which today is called PP 524, was first shown at the Copenhagen Cabinet-makers Guild Exhibition in 1958 and produced by Johannes Hansen.
Unlike more of the forerunners, it has no arm rest.
Mountings and a clamp of Stainless Steel, with a steel safety device, makes it possible to fix the backrest in 4 different positions.
PP Mbler will produce 30 pieces of the Deck Chair, PP 524 in both oak and ash.
A silver plate showing Hans J. Wegners signature and the number of the chair, will be fastened to these 30 pieces.
The Deck Chair will be delivered, today as in 1958, with a neck cushion and a Long Haired sheepskin.
