Cast Stone and wood are combined in Equal, an element with a linear geometry and ample space for sitting and sharing that emerges from its proportion and balance. Balance in its volumes, which form a seat that shapes the base and emerges as a backrest. Balance between its inclined and orthogonal planes, creating a simple yet surprising geometry. Balance between two materials that merge to heighten their contrast: the coldness of cast stone and the warmth of wood. Finally, balance between its potential use as a seat with and without a backrest. The nearly 3 metre length of this product provides a comfortable, attractive surface for sitting, while its weight allows for unanchored installation. Equal was designed in 2009 by architect Joseph Gasc n in conjunction with Escofet.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Marshalls Street Furniture is consulted before specifying.
