When Strongdor introduced smoke and fire-rated steel doorsets, we also set out to tackle one of the industry’s most complex challenges: smoke control. Our RIBA‑accredited CPD breaks the topic down into clear, practical guidance, making the essentials easy to understand and apply.
What to Expect in Our Smoke Door CPD
Smoke Under Control covers the critical role smoke plays in fire safety and the need for effective containment. We explain what happens when smoke isn’t properly managed, highlight the key features of a correctly tested smoke-rated steel door, and help you spot misleading claims or poor advertising practices.
Who Can Join Our RIBA CPD?This CPD is ideal for anyone involved in the specification, installation, or procurement of steel doors. Whether you’re an architect, installer, main contractor, or simply someone whose work is impacted by smoke control requirements, you’re welcome to join.
How to Sign Up for Our Smoke Door CPD?
Smoke Under Control is available as an online webinar or can be delivered in person for your team. Contact our team today by emailing us at [email protected].
We’re proud to launch our CPD on LPS 1673, the latest BRE security standard for steel doors. This session introduces our Attackdor, which was the first-ever steel door certified to LPS 1673: Issue 1, and explains why it matters in today’s built environment. What to expect with our LPS 1673 CPD:
