White Aluminium Oxide

The base material for White Aluminium Oxide is bauxite.
Relative to flooring applications, White Aluminium Oxide is used as an anti-slip mineral. It is very hard – 9.0 on the Mohs scale – and very clean. It can contribute anti-slip properties in decorative surfaces without detracting from the appearance of the surface underneath.
White Aluminium Oxide can also be pigmented in bright whites and yellows to give high-visibility, as well as light emitting coatings for anti-slip qualities to Stair Treads and nosings.
