Ablative Coating.

Astro Coat is a water-based, acrylic, ablative coating with excellent fire, water, air permeability and elastomeric properties.
It prevents the passage of fire, smoke, air and sound between fire rated compartments and has been tested in block wall, concrete, masonry, Plasterboard partition, composite panel, durasteel wall and concrete floors.
Fire protects service penetration openings containing metallic pipes, Cables, cable trays, heating & ventilation ducts and Trunking. Can be used to coat service insulation as part of the sealing system.
At normal temperatures the coating remains flexible to permit thermal and mechanical movement of services and the building structure. (If you need a very flexible coating see FLEXI-COAT).
Astro Coat is a thinner formulation for use with ASTRO BATT fire board, to seal the edges around the services and between the substrate and the batt before installation. Application is by spray, or brush or pouring applications. (Trowel Grade is also available).
