Mentex expanded metal also called regular expanded metal is manufactured by pressing, cutting and expanding, leaving sharply angled knuckles where the individual strands meet, which makes it have Non-slip surface. Flatex expanded metal also called flattened expanded metal creates a smoother surface by an additional cold rolling process on the basis of mentex expanded metal, forming a finished product that is about 5% lighter than regular expanded metal. No matter mentex expanded metal or flatex expanded metal is formed from a piece of metal. So, there is no waste in the process of production, which makes them be the most environmentally friendly in all type metal.
